I want us to live and witness to the Gospel in a literal and radical way to our families, friends, neighbors, and the world. Only then will our light (the light of Christ) shine in the darkness. We may have been isolated from one another this year due to the pandemic, yet our domestic church is alive and active.

"From the amount of phone calls, emails, texts and Facebook messages I've received already today, I would say that gay Catholics that are reaching out to me feel hope-filled," said Zerkowski. "They understand that the evolution of doctrine is a painfully slow process, but everyone one of them has expressed gratitude and tremendous hope that we are at least moving forward, that we're not stuck. That gives them hope."

The Diocese of Lexington's Annual Appeal is a visible expression of our unity as the Body of Christ. Each donation to the fund is a sign that we believe in the Gospel message to “love one another as I have loved you” [John 15:12]. It is an affirmation of our belief that “faith without works is useless” [James 2:20]. It demonstrates that we believe that whatever you do to others, you do to Jesus. "We are aware some had difficulty with sound during our live-streamed masses on Sunday. From our discussions with those affected we have figured out that you must turn up the volume on the live-stream AND on your computer/phone. BOTH volumes must be adjusted in order for you to hear well."
Thanks to Saints Peter & Paul School, which has the technology to live-stream masses, we will attempt to live-stream our 10:00 am Sunday mass in English and our 12:45 pm Sunday mass in Spanish this Sunday, September 13th, from inside Historic Saint Paul Church via Facebook Live (also available on our website on the Facebook feed).
