On Friday, May 1st, at 3pm, as the United States bishops and the Canadian Bishops renew the consecration of their countries to our Blessed Mother, we will broadcast on Facebook and through the live Facebook feed on our parish website a special May Devotion from the Our Lady of Guadalupe altar of our church building . . . On Sunday, May 10th, we will broadcast our usual 10am Sunday Mass from the living room of Brossart House, and at 12 noon we will broadcast on Facebook and on the live Facebook feed on our parish website another May Devotion to celebrate Mother’s Day from the Our Lady of Guadalupe Altar in our church building.
During these challenging times, my prayer is constantly that health of spirit, mind and body, safety, and grace accompany us, those we love, the most vulnerable, and, indeed, every person as we face this awful pandemic. At 3pm on Sunday, we will live stream the Chaplet of Divine Mercy in English and Spanish from our sanctuary with the Blessed Sacrament exposed and impart a special blessing with the Blessed Sacrament. Inside is not what you would expect to see on Good Friday: empty pews, no choir, deserted palm branches and no one behind the pulpit, but one candle stands out, even without a flame. "As the candle is consumed by the flames, so will the virus symbol at the the top, and the year, and all that will be left is the victorious cross."
