• Creation Care Meets Coffee Hour! Join our coffee hour after 10:00 AM mass. You will notice that in addition to paper cups we will now serve coffee in ceramic mugs.

• Our Winter Coat Drive has just started! We need coats and jackets, hats, gloves, scarves, and blankets. The collection barrel is in the narthex, by the stairs to the choir loft.

  • We will be using The Great Adventure program: "Unlocking the Mystery of the Bible" by Jeff Cavins and Sarah Christmyer published by Ascension Press. This week we will be discussing the Early World (Genesis 12-50).

MESSAGE OF THE WEEK

Dear Parishioners and Visitors, 

“Go your way, your faith has saved you.” Jesus’ words to Bartimaeus. (Mark 10:46) Faith and Persistence are essential in growing our relationship with God. I learned this lesson from my dad. More than once, he watched the wheat crop he had so diligently planted, nourished, and planned to harvest get leveled to the ground by a hailstorm. 

My dad’s simple statement, “we’ll have to wait until next year” made me wonder why God let this happen, and why did dad faithfully continue to trust that God would provide his family with all we needed. Did he hear God say, “Your faith will save you”? 

What is faith? Faith is a gift given freely to us by a loving God. And although we cannot control God, believing that God has a plan for each of us compels us to center our lives on Jesus. He can teach us how to live life to the fullest, placing our trust in the God who loves and watches over each of us. 

I learned from my dad that faith is contagious. By reflecting our faith in God in those moments of trial and heartache we are revealing Jesus to others. 

While we have time, let us do good,

Open Door Lunch Ministry

During the month of September, we provided 677 guests with lunches. Thank You to all who continue to supply and volunteer to make this possible. Blessings to all. 

If you would like to donate, we accept lunch related items such as: water, chips, cookies, soft fruit (bananas, grapes, oranges), cupped fruits, crackers, snack bars, etc. You may bring these donations to the office between 9:00 AM —4:00 PM Monday-Friday or when you come to Mass on the weekend.

The Little Mountain School

We have raised $32,117 with our coffee sales for the Little Mountain School in Guatemala.
