Dear Deacon Steve,
As you prepare to depart for Vermont to begin your new role, the parishioners of Historic St. Paul Catholic Church extend our heartfelt gratitude for your years of dedicated service and spiritual guidance. Your presence within our community has been a true blessing, and your contributions have enriched our lives in countless ways.
Whether it was through your insightful and reproving homilies, compassionate pastoral care to our homebound, or unwavering commitment to sharing our faith in Jesus, you have touched the hearts of many. Your dedication to serving others, particularly through your work with our LGBTQ brethren, those left behind by our Church or society, fostering dialogue on protecting our shared home on Earth, and preserving our historic, communal faith spaces, has made a lasting impact on our parish and the wider community.
We will miss your warm smile, your kind words, and your unwavering dedication to social justice. However, we rejoice in the opportunity you have been given to continue your ministry in Vermont. May God bless you, Laura, and your family abundantly as you embark on this new chapter.
Know that you will remain in our thoughts and prayers. We wish you all the best in your future endeavors.
With gratitude and blessings,
