Dear Parishioners and Friends of Historic St. Paul Parish,
Thanksgiving this year will surely be different; many may be alone or with only those in their household because of the pandemic. We demonstrate our love for one another by keeping each other safe. That is a very practical act of thanksgiving.
We will offer two online masses on Thanksgiving morning via Facebook (which can also be viewed at the live Facebook feed on our website): 10am Thanksgiving morning mass in English and 12noon Thanksgiving day mass in Spanish.
During that Mass I will ask a special blessing upon the bread we will eat and, perhaps, share at our dinner tables. If you tune in to mass and have your loaf of bread nearby, we can participate in a special blessing upon your bread and then you can enjoy it or share it.
In the Eucharist we are all one. Bread is a sign of the Eucharistic Lord that we can share on our own tables. Whether alone or with your family, when we break the blessed bread and consume it, we remember that we are together in heart and in spirit with those from whom we must remain apart this year because we love them so much.
Join us at Mass on Thanksgiving and in the special blessing of bread.
