Too many LGBTQ+ Catholics feel this way because of the treatment they received from clergy or parishioners. They leave the Catholic Church and find a safe space in another denomination. It is always a tragedy.
Often when I tell people about our parish, LGBTQ+ Catholics and those who love them are incredulous because our intentional affirming and welcoming embrace is not the norm.
We are fortunate to be a safe space, a home – to be servant – to so many on the peripheries, including LGBTQ+ people. Because of this, Jesus tells us that we are great.
Please pray for me and for the ministry.

From the Pastor
The priests of the Diocese of Lexington, including Father Richard and Father Francisco, will be on retreat at St. Meinrad from October 21-25. During this time, a Franciscan priest from Bishop John's community, Father Conrad Sutter, OFM, Conv., will be celebrating weekday Masses at the Cathedral of Christ the King.
