We have now been back in church with public masses for three weeks while social distancing and following state and diocesan protocols. Here are a few updates:
• For those who are interested in attending mass in the church, there has been available seating while still social distancing at all masses with one exception, a 12:45 pm Sunday mass in Spanish that was full.
• Our schedule for now remains Saturday 4 pm, Sunday 10 am, and Wednesday 5 pm (English) Sunday 12:45 pm, 7 pm (Spanish), and Thursday 7 pm (Spanish).
• We continue to pre-record in Brossart House the Sunday English and Spanish mass to post on- line. Both masses may be accessed by going to our parish website (saintpaul.cdlex.org) and scrolling down our Facebook link to the mass you wish to view.
• Masks and hand sanitizer are available for mass participation if needed. Our hospitality ministers for each mass have been exceptional in assisting us so that we can worship together while following the pandemic protocols.
• Confession is available by appointment in my office while wearing masks and social distancing. Please call or text me at 859.420.4182 to schedule.
• Also, please call or text me if anyone has any pastoral needs that I can help with.
• Thank you to the Catholic pastors of Lexington, our parish medical team, and our incredible staff for helping me with their wise counsel as we continue to maneuver day to day through this pandemic.
We will keep you posted as things develop or change. I pray for all of you daily. Please remember me and our staff in your prayers. I am grateful for all that you do for me and our parish.
