_____              Arrange a meeting with the Priest or Deacon who will preside at your wedding for the completion of the Pre-Nuptial Investigation Form.

 

_____               If either party contracted a pervious marriage, a copy of the annulment papers, or a death certificate of the previous partner is necessary.

 

_____               Register for the required Marriage Preparation as explained in the initial meeting with the Priest or Deacon.

 

_____               Complete the FOCCUS instrument for marriage.

 

_____               Select a musician. If you have not selected a musician from the list given to you by the Wedding Coordinator you must speak with the music director

            from St. Paul Church concerning your selection of musician and of music.

 

_____               Obtain a recent (6 months) copy of your Baptismal Certificate.

 

_____               Use the “Together for Life” booklet to select the readings, vows, nuptial blessing, etc. for your ceremony. Complete the format in the back of the booklet.

 

_____               Obtain a State Wedding License and present it to the Priest or Deacon at the rehearsal. Request this for the appropriate county clerk’s office in the courthouse.

_____               Set the rehearsal date and time with the Wedding Coordinator. Please be certain that all participating in the rehearsal are at the Church on time.

 

_____               Select Readers, Servers, Extraordinary Ministers, and Gift Bearers for you liturgy, if the ceremony is within the Mass. For a ceremony without a Mass, only readers are needed.

 

_____               If you or your soon to be spouse are not registered members of St. Paul Church, obtain a letter from the parish you attend stating your membership and involvement. (This is for the Catholic party only.)

A violation of this parish mandate could result in the cancellation of our wedding.
